Diagnosis

There is no single laboratory test, imaging study, biopsy, or universal question which explains and precisely measures chronic pain. The definitive report is the one you share by telling us about your experience.

Continuity

Chronic pain syndromes often go through periods of flare when pain is less well controlled and then times of remission.  For this reason, we believe it is critical that your team understand your individual course. We strive to have the people who know you best care for you on an ongoing basis so you do not need to explain your pain over and over again.

Precision

One of the greatest challenges of chronic pain treatment to match the underlying biological mechanism of your treatment to your pain to the extent that current diagnostic methods allow.  We use the latest imaging tools to guide treatment the anatomy of your pain with the understanding that multiple approaches must often be tried before finding the one that provides the most relief.

Minimizing Risk

Our goal is to ensure that specialized techniques are integrated into a coherent treatment plan that recognizers tradeoffs may come with reasonable expectations for relief. No treatment is risk free and for the majority of chronic pain problems there is no simple fix. We are committed to minimizing the risks and complications of treatment wherever possible and making treatments as tolerable as possible so they do not interfere with your goals
